What restaurant websites get wrong (and how to actually fill covers)

A pretty gallery is not a reservation system. Here is the conversion architecture we use for F&B brands in Pakistan and the Gulf.

Most restaurant sites are digital business cards. Guests land, pinch-zoom a PDF menu, and leave to Instagram or a delivery app. If you own a dining room, that is leaking margin.

Start with one job: book the table. The hero should show atmosphere, tonight’s availability cue, and a booking CTA that works on a bus ride. Menus belong as HTML, not PDFs — they are searchable, accessible, and indexable.

After hours is where independents lose. A WhatsApp bot that knows allergens, party size, and waitlist policy will outperform a “call us” button. Pair it with reminder flows and you cut no-shows without sounding like a bank SMS.

Finally, match ads to landing pages. If you promote a chef’s table, do not dump traffic on the homepage. Devsora ships campaign pages in the same design system as the mothership site so creative and conversion stay friends.
